Cherry Blossoms

Wearing: Bedo shorts, Club Monaco sweater, H&M tights, vintage bag, Ray-Ban wayfarer sunglasses,Jessica shoes.

I haven't posted anything for the last couple of days cause to be truthful I had nothing interesting to post. No new outfits, no ideas , no anything. Plus the weather hasn't been on my side for a while. My little photo shoot got postponed again till next weekend. I really hope it will be worth the wait!

By the way, aren't you excited about spring? I most certainly am.

Stripped Tights

Wearing: BCBG blazer,Le Chateau scarf, vintage owl brooch, Hue tights, pink skirt from Japan, Kate Preston bondage boots, Erickson Beamon cuff, Honey Room sunglasses, 689BVD2TV7B5

I have wanted stripped tights ever since I saw this Italian girl sporting a very cool pair in front of Coast restaurant back in January. I haven't been able to locate a pair as cool as hers till now but I was finally able to find a decent pair this Friday except that they are a size too big for me ( last pair and I did not want to take the chance of looking for others). Now that I look at them I don't think they flatter me that well. Looking back now I really think I can't wear patterned tights. Still I love them to death and as Karla@ Karla's Closet said in her latest post "Screw it. Fashion should be fun. There should never be any rules about what you should and shouldn't wear." I'll follow the rules later on in life but for now I'll keep on playing with these.

Kimonos/Caftans over swimsuits

Steven Meisel circa 2000

This is the second part of the Steven Meisel shoot. Right now I'm adding kimono cover ups to my summer shopping list. I'm hoping that I will be able to find some nice vintage ones!
I was actually planning a special shoot this weekend but I was busy yesterday and unfortunately today the weather decided to be against us. Therefore it will have to be postponed till the following weekend. If everything goes according to plan I should be revealing it by the following Tuesday.

My new style Idol

This post is dedicated to my new style idol, Ioana from Fashezine. I had the wonderful pleasure of meeting Ioana on my trip to Romania. We instantly clicked and have developed a wonderful friendship. Ioana is also my latest style inspiration. Over my 2 week vacation I have been admiring Ioana's amazing outfits and have finally convinced her to start posting her outfits on her new blog. This way I can keep being inspired even when I don't get to see her. She has amazing writing skills, ones I could only dream of. Even though her blog has just started to sprout I believe she is one of the ones to watch!

Here is a sneak peak!

The last day

Wearing: coat courtesy of mother dear, Jeffrey Campbell boots, headband from Dulapul Bunicii ( gift from Alice... isn't she wonderful?), Urban Planet bag

This is my last outfit that I wore in Romania. Did nothing else except run from one meeting to another to say goodbye to everyone dear!
Stole this coat from my mom's closet. I brought it back with me except that the weather here is pretty warm for this time of the year! Whatever! glad that winter is over!

Steven Meisel circa 2000

Photos by Steves Meisel circa 2000...Right now I just want to escape to a far exotic location where I can just wear beautiful swimsuits and cover ups such as these ones. These are just 5 of the 20 beautiful photos. I will post all of them throughout this month.

I also just got back to Vancouver. I'm actually super happy I got to miss the Olympic chaos. We arrived yesterday just after the final hockey game where Canada won, and the streets where full of rabid fans. Frankly I have never cared for the Winter Olympics so to be sincere I really couldn't give a damn about it. Still as a Canadian citizen I do feel a bit of pride.

Our trip back was a mess. I will never in my life fly with any of these two airlines: British Airways and Air Canada. BA's planes look like they are about to rip in half at the slightest bit of turbulence while Air Canada has extremely poor customer service. They charged me 50 euros for a bag that they have lost and nobody wants to be held responsible for it so they keep blaming it on one another. Their staff is just incapable of serving their customers.
